Why 300 DPI matters for print

300 DPI is more than a number. Here is what changes between a 150 DPI print and a 300 DPI print, and why we ship the higher number out of the box.
Print-on-demand providers almost always work in 300 DPI at the final size, so an image that prints clean at 300 DPI sharpens up at 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, and 24x36. Anything below 150 DPI and the print shows visible pixels when viewed up close.
The studio ships every render at 300 DPI at four standard POD framings, so you do not have to resample or upscale yourself. If you need a custom size, we also export a raw 4K master that you can crop and rescale in any editor.
A practical rule: design at the size you intend to print, not the size on your monitor. The Studio composes your parallax pass over your source at the print size, so the perspective reads correctly at every framing.
